Burton European Open

I set off on the 19th of January to Laax to do the Burton European Open. I couldn’t wait to start riding the next day, I was staying at a place called the Happy Rancho Hotel where there where lots of big riders staying, including the likes of Travis rice, Scotty Lago, Shaun White and other riders too... I got my lift ticket and headed up the mountain to ride the park and get some practice for event. I was a bit gutted that the slopestyle couldn’t take place because that is the one I get more practice at; in England we don’t have halfpipes as good as abroad so I was practicing more on the kickers in the park for the slopestyle event. Before the halfpipe event there was a practice session, the pipe was well shaped and very fast, after the practice we headed down the mountain to go swimming with friends and go for meal. After the meal we went back to the rancho and went to the bar for a drink and played a game of pool with Scotty Lago and I beat him. The following day I woke up, early and got my clothes on and headed up the mountain for the competition, everyone looked nervous, even me, I did my runs and ended up finishing 5th in the youths, I was so stoked, everybody was really good.
