HAMPUS WINS THE NANSHAN INVITATIONAL

January 08, 2007 @ 6:17 PM -

The organizers for the Nanshan Open Invitational (how can an open contest be invitational, or vice versa?) ordered in sunshine and no winds for the final. They sure know how to organize stuff around here. People started hucking off the big kicker, and I swiftly put my money on Kalle Ohlson and Hampus Mosesson. Hampus threw in some crazy shifty shifty thingy (bs 9 indy, double shifty), along with some other trickery down the course that consisted of 2 kickers, a bunch of small rails, a wallride and some other jibbydi-jibbydi things. Kalle Ohlson came second in front of Austin Smith. Representing Finland in the Asia-tour crew, Anssi Manninen, managed to get in on 4th. Congrats to you all. To sum the entire comp up, I have to say that it was a pleasure being a spectator, even if it wasn't back to back 12's on every run... The only thing to bitch about is the quality of the Internet connection here, which is why you won’t see any pics right now. Sorry. For more info on the comp right now, check the news on the right.
