Things you can’t do in Sweden

November 13, 2006 @ 11:25 AM -

Zup party people. I’ve been out shooting with Hans Åhlund, Kalle Ohlsson and Jonte Nilsson in Umea again. Drove down last week and went to work on a seemingly sketchy tree-jib. Just a couple of minutes before we were done with the session, which at one point turned in to an autograph signing, up rocks the filth. The female copper, who insisted she wasn’t over-zealous, booked us for driving on the walking path, towing behind a car and ‘stealing’ electricity…Since she was completely useless at her job, she couldn’t give us a straight answer about how much the fines would be. She said she would have to talk to her colleagues. She also left Kalle Ohlson, who still has his trial period left on his driving license wondering whether or not he is going loose his license. kidsinumea.jpg width=400 height=226 Jonte, Hans and Kalle just before getting busted. Is that kid on the far left holding a knife? No time for moping around, we hit a nice long flat-bar rail later that evening with 270 combos in pretty much every direction. I drove back to Skelleftea where it’s been snowing for the last 4 days. Anton Gunnarsson and I soon went to work on a shot that will make everything we’ve done so far together look like poop. Jonas Gustafsson soon joined us for a late night session, dropping some roofs before driving back to Umea. It was Father’s day here in Sweden yesterday. During this fall I’ve been working on two features which has taken it’s toll on my body and mind, not to mention my wallet. However, you should be aware of the fact that a lot of the shots you will see from yours truly in the next season’s issues of Onboard wouldn’t have been possible without the help from this one rad dude. This bearded, multi-tasking/talented man should seriously start invoicing Onboard Magazine for all the labour he has put in to my projects. The help he has provided in terms of connections, material, carpenter skills and just sheer positive input to what I do has made everything we’ve done around my stomping grounds a hell of a lot easier and not to mention, better looking. Kjell Ingemar Lundstrom fucking rocks, and I salute him.
